The first week back at school can be both exciting & overwhelming. Seeing your friends and teachers again is definitely a plus to starting the new school year; however, with a new year comes new classes and routines. Getting back into the routine of waking up early and going to school is a hard thing to get used to after long sleep ins and schedule-less summer days. New courses can be stressful, as the first few assignments may seem daunting due to the length of time since you did your last assignment way back in June. Go easy on yourself, ask questions, and do not be afraid to meet with your teachers should you have any questions or concerns about the course material. Try and look at your stress as not only a motivator to learn and work hard, but as a reflective voice reminding you to try new things. After all, a new school year means a new beginning, right? So take advantage of all the opportunities the school has to offer! We are all in this together!
